Narrative Contrastive Analysis Of Investigative Reporting Between China And The United States

On the occasion of the decline of Investigative Reporting,this paper takes the award-winning works of "China News Award" and "Pulitzer News Award" as the research content,and compares the Investigative News of China and the USA from the perspective of news narratology.This paper draws on the research framework of news narrative built by scholar He Chun,and analyzes the Investigative News of China and the USA in five aspects:News Narrator,News Narrative Ideology,News Narrative Motive,News Narrative Perspective and News Narrative Rhetoric.This paper mainly uses content analysis,literature review,data analysis and comparative analysis to study,and draws the following conclusions:the narrators of investigative news in the USA are more networked and diversified than those in China;the narrative ideology of investigative news in China and the USA has certain political tendencies;the investigative news narrative motive of China and the USA is larger overlapped and each has its national characteristics and has higher"recrimination ratio";The narrative perspectives of investigative journalism in China and the USA differ greatly in the use of "limited perspective" and "omniscient perspective",which is related to both sides' understanding of investigative news.The application of American investigative news in narrative rhetoric is more mature and advanced than that of China.
