In the information age,the focus of competition among countries' comprehensive national strength is the competition of science and technology.The path of scientific and technological evolution reflects the development of science and technology and embodies important information in the field.Researchers who can effectively interpret the themes and evolutionary trends implied by the evolution path and identify key node in the development of science and technology,can deeply analyze the major hotspot technologies in the field,and provide decision-making basis and future development direction for national scientific research development planning and enterprise R&D strategy.Therefore,the in-depth mining analysis of the main path has become an indispensable part of the development of science and technology.The citation network hides the inherent laws of technological development.The main path analysis method is based on the connectivity of the nodes,and obtains the high-traversal weights from the constructed citation network to form the main path of the domain development,which is used to describe the development trend of science and technology and reveal the potential development law in the field.However,For the evolution path of science and technology extracted from the network and used to express the development of the field,it is difficult for researchers to quickly and accurately identify the scientific and technological content and the key technologies in the scientific and technological evolution paths of different fields.That is why the interpretation of the evolution path of science and technology is the key to understanding the development of the field.To this end,this study constructs themes content indicators to indicate the theme and themes evolution of the technology evolution path,and builds a link counting method based on the main path and a relative entropy method to identify key nodes in the citation network.This paper first constructs a core theme and evolution method from the perspective of the main path.The method is based on the citation network main path mapping patent classification numbers or the subject words,and the patent classification numbers or themes replaces the text topics to evolve on the main path and calculate the subject content of the node.The core themes on the main path and its development history are represented by changes in the content of the subject.In order to verify the rationality of the constructed method,this paper uses the data in the field of OLED and DNA to conduct empirical analysis.The research results show that the measurement themes evolution indicators constructed in this paper are applicable to the subject evolution of patents and texts,and clearly reveal the themes evolution process through the theme evolution maps.Secondly,this study combines SPLC algorithm to construct a link counting method to sort the importance of the nodes on the main path,and introduces the method of discriminating the difference of biological sequences in the biological field to identify the major transition nodes in the citation network.In order to discover the major turning points and potentially significant opportunities,efficiently interpret the key technologies hidden in the field,this paper analysis the importance ranking results of the nodes obtained by the cited frequency and the main path method.The superiority of the method of analyzing the importance of nodes from the main path angle is verified from the text content.Then,the identification of critical transitions based on relative entropy is enriching the analysis system of key nodes,and help researchers deeply understanding the hidden information of key nodes,providing with certain theoretical and practical value in understanding the technological development in the field.However,further research is needed on how to increase the measurement dimension of the text and refine the differences between the documents,in order to more accurately identify major changes in the field.Finally,the paper summarizes the research results and main conclusions,and discusses the limitations of the research and the prospects for future research directions.
