| With the development of mobile technology and social media,"cyber koi fish"has became a popular symbol of particular meaning on the Internet.In the beginning,"cyber koi fish" referred to the real koi fish.Then its connotation expended to the image of some celebrities and characters in dramas.People create lots of avatars and memes of "cyber koi fish",then tweet and retweet them on the social websites to wish good luck,leading to a carnival on the Internet.This phenomena reflects the superstition with the influence of mass culture,youth subculture,business marketing and postmodernism,which is worth studying and discussing."Cyber koi fish" is considered as the research object of this paper.Based on the carnival theory put forward by Bakhtin,some typical examples of "cyber koi fish" are presented.The historical venation is clarified by using text analysis method.The carnival context,carnival participants,carnival square and the carnival motivation are also specified.The characteristic of "cyber koi fish",specifically as nationality,rituality and subversion,are elaborated.The four kinds of feelings in the carnival world including intimacy,gag,deigning and vulgarity are analyzed respectively.The duality and relativity are considered as the spiritual core of the "cyber koi fish"carnival.This study shows that "cyber koi fish" is a method for the young people to express supplications and emotions in the Internet era.It also embodies the youth subculture.In fact,"cyber koi fish" is a carnival only in form,which indicates the living stress in modern society and implies the irony to the reality.Combined with the business and the network marketing,consumerism also plays an important role in this carnival. |
