Chinese traditional medicine has a long history and a wealth of classical materials have been formed in its development.Medical literature has been recorded in the official and private catalogues of all dynasties in China. The study of medical literature in the catalogues of the past dynasties can better understand the academic system and development law of ancient Chinese medicine. In this paper, the classification and evolution of medical literature in the official and private catalogues of each dynasty are sorted out,and the classification principles and development rules are summarized. The medical contents recorded in ancient Chinese catalogues were first recorded in Han shu Yi-Wen-Zhi and included in the strategy. From Wei Jin Southern and Northern dynasties to Tang dynasty, the description of medical works in the catalog gradually stabilized in the subdivision.Due to the social atmosphere of advocating medicine in the Song dynasty, the number and classification system of medical literature in catalog books developed unprecedentedly.During the prosperous period of bibliography in Ming and Qing dynasties, the scale and quality of bibliographic works were greatly improved, and the number of medical literatures included in bibliographic books made a breakthrough.Si-ku-Quan-Shu-Zong-Mu embodies the knowledge and wisdom of scholars and has far-reaching significance and important value in the history of Chinese academic culture.Based on Si-ku-Quan-Shu-Zong-Mu,this paper analyzes the description methods and classification system of medical literature in general catalog from Zi Bu total order and the small preface of medicine.Zi Bu total orde is divided into 14 categories, and the medical class ranks the fifth. The unprecedented rise of the medical class reflects the recognition and attention of the ruling class to medicine, and also indicates that the development of traditional Chinese medicine has achieved prosperous results by the middle of Qing dynasty. This paper mainly analyzes the abstracts of books in the medical class and summarizes the principles of medical literature collection. In the collection of medical books,Zu-Mu advocates and adopts many opinions, and has an objective and comprehensive understanding of medical classics. The classification method clarifies the boundary between the category of doctors and other categories, and promotes the academic system of traditional medicine to be more rigorous and mature. This paper summarizes the academic thoughts and medical propositions of the medical class.Qing rulers attached great importance to medicine because of their concern for people's livelihood and the need to consolidate their rule. The medical class also shows that they oppose the idea of different families and advocate the academic thought of adopting the opinions of others. The abstracts also reflect the limitation of Guanchen s medical ideas and thoughts.Zong-Mu emphasizes practicality in medicine, attaches importance to experience, advocates concise reasoning, prudent use of drugs, and advocates clinical differentiation and pertinence, which all reflect the great achievements of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, the contempt and criticism of doctors in the synopsis, the defects in the classification system, still have not got rid of its limitations of the times.By studying the textual research methods of medical abstracts,it can be seen that Zong-Mu has made great achievements in textual research. This paper analyzes the reasons for the prosperity of Qian-Jia textology in Qing dynasty, and points out that the prosperity of Qian-Jia textology is mainly due to political stability and cultural oppression, and is deeply influenced by the rulers' academic tendency and their own development direction. This paper analyzes the textual research of the author's name, date and the process of the book, the inference of the origin, origin and right and wrong of the title of the book, and the textual research of the source, circulation and authenticity of the version by examples, then appropriates supplementary and sums up the textual research method and spirit advocated by the medical class.Although the description and evaluation of medical literature has its era limitations, but its about medical literature classification principles, thoughts and textual research results, reflect the development of traditional Chinese medicine in the middle period of Qing dynasty with great achievement, for studies have provided important basis for the evolution of traditional medicine, has the dual academic value of bibliography and traditional medicine.
