This paper mainly studies how to apply modern technology to the traditional manufacturing industry.As time goes on,science and technology are also progressing,and technological innovation is changing with each passing day.More and more new technologies and new ideas have been applied to the traditional manufacturing industry,which has brought great room for improvement and progress.Under this circumstance,PLC as the field control core,industrial robots to replace artificial work of the new automation system gradually into everyone's line of sight.At present,the production equipment of China's feed industry is relatively backward.Many small enterprises and workshops still adopt the production method of manual stirring,and most factories still use the production method of semi-automatic stirring machine.As a result,the production efficiency is low,the accuracy of ingredients is not high,and the quality of products is not up to standard.Based on the above problems,this paper designs a feed production automation system which is closer to the present science and technology according to the demand of today's feed production system and the experience of past feed production.This system mainly uses Mitsubishi QnU series PLC as the field equipment controller and German KUKA industrial robot as the feed tray stacking tool.Mitsubishi QnU series PLC has a strong function and low cost.The PLC is used as the control core in the field.Considering the special field environment of feed production,it is easy to produce a lot of dust and smoke in the feed production plant.PLC control system is relatively stable,not easy to be affected by external interference,even if the PLC module damage is convenient to replace,does not affect the production efficiency.Plus now the PLC control system in the factory production is more and more widely used,technology is more and more mature,programming is relatively simple,late maintenance work is also simple and convenient.Germany's KUKA robot is used in the stacking system of industrial robots.The cost of using KUKA robot in Germany is relatively low,and the later maintenance is guaranteed.In terms of the programming of industrial robots,the programming language is not difficult to use,which is not very demanding for programmers and convenient for programming and debugging.Using industrial robots instead of human can further improve production efficiency,save labor costs and reduce the occurrence of industrial injury.Through the use and test of the factory,the system has good operability,stable operation,convenient management,obvious improvement of production efficiency,great reduction of labor force of workers,and very accurate ratio of feed produced,which is well received by the users who buy feed.
