With the rapid development of computer control, networks, databases and other technologies in recent years, they are applied in industrial and agricultural production more widely. However, equipment in current domestic feed industry production is obsolescent, and the production process is simple relatively. Through the investigation to several feed manufacturers in the province, the study shows that most feed manufacturers still use manual or semi-automated ingredients production process. The present situation of low production efficiency, low ingredients accuracy and low quality of products can not meet the demand of the growing feed consumption of domestic graziery. Therefore, it’s necessary to exploit a set of full-featured, high intelligence and cost-effective feed production line with the use of technologies above.In the thesis, through the analysis and research on three main components of ingredients put-in control, batch weighing and mixing in feed production process, a set of control system in feed production line based on PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) as main controller is developed. To control the whole process of the ingredients production, IPC is used as main control terminal in the system and PLC as the module of switch value input and output as well as ingredients weighting(A/D) and acquisition. RS-232 serial port communication is used to achieve the data transmission between PLC and IPC, while database SQL Server 2000 is used to store data of raw materials formulations for feed production process, product manufacturing and raw material consumption, and Delphi 6 is used as the development tool in the system to complete the visual control interface. The system has been applied to several companies in feed production lines. It has been proven that the system shows the advantage of high stability and easy to operate, which improves the working environment,the high Ingredients accuracy(±0.5Kg) and production efficiency. Since the system shows the character of generality, it can be applied as reference in similar industrial production environment.
