The “Belt and Road Initiative”,as one of the most important international initiatives of China in recent years,has an important impact on Asia and the world.The United Kingdom of close economic and politics ties with China is an important partner for this initiative in Europe.It is a necessity for us to pay close attention to the trend and strategic changes of public opinion related to the“Belt and Road Initiative”in the UK.Reports from the three most important media in the UK-the Guardian,The Daily Telegraph and The Times,on the "Belt and Road Initiative" since 2013 are selected for this study.In the perspective of framework theory,text analysis and content analysis are comprehensively applied for this study.This study revealed media framework of the "One Belt,One Road" initiative of the mainstream media in the UK through the hypothesis test and the regression model the China's "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative With a comprehensive analysis of the number of reports,the layout of the pages,the content form,the topic of the report,the source of the citations,and the attitudes of the reports.It also provides a reference for future communications towards the“Belt and Road Initiative".The study found that the three mainstream media in the UK have commonality in reporting on the:“Belt and Road”initiative.They are of basically the same reporting trends.A lot of reports spring out when there are main events or the diplomatic visits.Most of the reports are economic and political related.The reports are rich in forms,most of them have pictures like transportation related.This shows the affirmation of connectivity of the initiative from infrastructure construction alongside.National leaders are preferred among Character-type maps.The main source of the reports is the government related department or officials.Those reports widely involve many countries most of which still are European and Asian countries.Central Asia,South Asia countries reported is basically distributed along the“Belt and Road”.Overall,most of those reports are neutral,but there also biases on different topies.The economic ones are most likely to be positive,while the military are relatively negative.There are also some differences between the three major newspapers.The Guardian has a wide range of reports,the largest number of reports,rich references,and the most objective and unobtrusive attitude.The core reports of The Daily Telegraph are fewer and more entrenched in economic reports with the most positive attitude.The quantity and coverage of The Times reports were not as many as those of the first two newspapers.Besides,it's reporting attitude is relatively negative with limited citation sources.The widely used framework of initiatives related reports is summarized based on comprehensively content analysis and text analysis.The process-influence-response framework mainly focuses on economic opportunities exploring the political and economic impact of the "Belt and Road Initiative”to the world especially the United Kingdom,and prefers official voices while reporting.This framework provides advices for China's initiative's related international communication work in the UK.It requires us to actively understand the British culture,take active attitude and quick responses to queries.Therefore,the "Belt and Road"initiative will be widely received and welcomed by the British people.
