Research On Data Visualization Reporting Of Disaster News

Driven by big data technology,the news presented by the data after mining and filtering through static,dynamic and interactive visualization forms is called "data visualization news".Because of its important functions in the form of news presentation,the type of news narrative and readers' reading experience,data visualization has become a hot topic in data news research and is considered as one of the most effective ways to disseminate data news.Catastrophic events have attracted wide attention in the field of news reporting because of their sudden and significant characteristics.However,the traditional disaster news report can not meet the current audience's "fragmentation" reading needs,and it is difficult to attract the audience's attention in the first time.Its dissemination effect is unsatisfactory.Visualization of data news reports is naturally compatible with disaster news reports.Reporting disaster news in the form of data visualization is helpful to solve the current plight of disaster news reports.This paper will take 104 visualization reports of disastrous data news from seven news columns in China from 2016 to 2019,vibrant math lessons,Netease Reading,People's Network Map News,Xinhua Data News,Caixin Digital News,Tencent News and Sohu Digital News as examples,through content research.And quantitative research methods are used to study the current situation of disaster data visualization news reporting in China.Firstly,the first chapter of this paper will introduce the background and significance of the research,define the core concepts,and study the domestic and foreign data visualization reports related research review to introduce the overall framework of the article.Chapter 2introduces the current situation of disaster news reporting and related content of data visualization reporting,which proves the advantages and necessity of applying data visualization reporting to disaster news reporting.Chapter 3 studies 104 disaster data news visualization reports from five network media in China,including data sources,reporting topics and visualization presentation forms,and points out the problems of insufficient data utilization,inefficient reporting timeliness,low level of interaction and lack of design aesthetics in visualization.In the fourth chapter,the reasons for the current problems are summarized as follows: extensive entertainment of news reports,lack of long-term emergencyplans,inadequate professional team building,etc.The last chapter tries to put forward corresponding solutions from the aspects of news media,personnel training,scientific and technological application and design theory.
