With the rapid advancement of mobile communication technology and the rapid spread of smart terminals for scheduling technology,the key research areas of the Fifth Generation(5G)are how to deal with the access of a large number of users and how to improve the overall performance of the system via more sophisticated scheduling technology.The Multi-user MIMO scheduling algorithm is more complex than the Single-user MIMO scheduling algorithm.It is crucial for developing the 5G international standards to establish a system-level simulation platform to evaluate the 5G key candidate technologies.Being one of the 5G key technologies,the Multi-user MIMO scheduling technology can be used to increase the total capacity of the system by making full use of diversity gain and multiplexing gain.Therefore,the design and implementation of the system-level simulation platform for 5G and the research and performance evaluation of Multi-user MIMO scheduling algorithm are the main contents of this thesis.The topic of this thesis is selected from the National Science and Technology Major Project“The Evaluation and Verification of 5G International Standard Candidate Plan”in CAICT.The 5G system-level simulation platform implemented in this thesis is used to simulate and evaluate 5G key technologies,which greatly promotes the progress of 5G industrialization;as one of the 5G key technologies,Multi-user MIMO scheduling technology increases the total capacity by making full use of diversity gain and multiplexing gain and solves the problems of massive user access in 5G.Therefore,the design and implementation of the system-level simulation platform for 5G and the research and performance evaluation of user scheduling algorithm are the main contents of this thesis.Firstly,this thesis mainly talks about the technology related to 5G mobile communication,summarizes the research status of 5G system architecture,key technology.Secondly,this thesis elaborates the overall design concept and simulation process based on the design and implementation of 5G system-level simulation platform.The simulation of HARQ module,scheduling module,detection module and feedback module are completed and the construction of the platform is finished.This thesis takes the simulation data of several research institutes as the calibration reference data,including HUAWEI and Intel provided by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)proposal,and verifies the correctness of the platform's functions.Finally,this thesis evaluates the single-user MIMO scheduling algorithm and the multi-user MIMO scheduling algorithm,studies the multi-user MIMO scheduling algorithm based on joint packet length,and proposes a multi-user MIMO scheduling algorithm based on Proportional Fairness(PF)factor,and analyzes the performance of the two algorithms.The simulation results show that the multi-user MIMO scheduling algorithm based on PF factor can significantly improve the fairness of the scheduling algorithm at the cost of reducing the throughput.
