After nearly three decades of development, mobile communication system has evolved from the analog standard cell phones only support voice service to the B3G systems whose representative is LTE-A. In the design of 3G and B3G mobile communication system architecture, because of the coexistence of multiple access technology and the mixed use of multiple capacity improvement technology, the traditional system design method which was based on the rule of thumb is no longer applicable for the reason of the disadvantages of high risk, high time cost and high financing cost, etc. Nowadays, the widely used design method is based on the simulation platform. This thesis will introduce the design method of mobile communication system level simulation platform by taking example of TD-SCDMA R4 and HSDPA coexistence system simulation level, and apply the programming ideas of design patterns and data structures to simulation platform optimization in order to reduce the coupling factor between the platform modules and improve the simulation efficiency.There are five chapters in this thesis. Chapter one provides the thesis's background, sense, major work and content arrangement. Chapter two discusses the development of mobile communication system, and gives a brief description of the goals and methods, the selection of simulation tools and the modular construction design principle of simulation platform. Chapter three takes the example of TD-SCDMA R4 and HSDPA coexistence system simulation platform, design and implement the first version of the system level simulation platform without applying the programming ideas of design patterns and data structures. Chapter four redesigns the framework and important data storage approach of the system level simulation platform with the programming ideas of design patterns and data structures on the premise of maintaining the first version platform's function. Chapter five contrasts the indicators such as simulated calibration curve and simulation efficiency before and after optimization, shows the importance and necessity of using the programming ideas of design patterns and data structures during the process of building a mobile communication system level simulation platform.
