The optical fiber which is the excellent transmission medium of the Internet has the advantages of large capacity, fast transmission speed and strong anti-interference ability. Therefore,it is of great significance for the information construction of our country to design high-speed integrated circuit for optical fiber communication system.Optical emission module is an important part of optical fiber communication, the 10 Gb/s laser diode drive circuit which will be designed is the key to the Optical emission module. This paper analyzes the basic theoretical knowledge and working principle of laser diode driver and introduces the 0.18um SiGe BiCMOS process, circuit structure and design process of laser diode driving circuit applying to lOGb/s optical communication based on the process. This design is mainly to research and design the laser diode driver circuit. The negative feedback circuit is creatively added in the modulation circuit to increase the working bandwidth of the laser drive circuit to increase the working rate. This design used the simplified high frequency signal equivalent model to derive and analyze the gain of the modulation circuit.Thereby, this design can get the expression which reflects the physical meaning of the modulation circuit, which help to complete the design and simulation of the circuit. After finishing the schematic's simulation of the entire laser diode driving circuit, the layout should be drawn. At the same time, the post-simulation was done to verify the performance and working conditions of all aspects of the circuit. The performance and experimental results of the laser diode driving circuit in this design meet the practical application requirements.
