This article analyzes the front page of "People's Daily" in the past five years(from 2013 to 2017)from the perspective of the ritualistic perspective of communication so as to study the ritual communication of the party's newspaper represented by"People's Daily".People's Daily,the agency newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,shoulders the responsibility of propaganda for framing state discourse,shaping the country's image and disseminating the mainstream ideology.In fact,the layout symbols of the front page of "People's Daily"constitute a symbolic system of political significance.Behind this symbolic system lies the will of the party and the government and its recognized power structure and political order.This article takes the front page of "People's Daily"as a politicized symbol system composed of five parts:news headline,news text,news topics,news pictures and page editors,and analyzes each part one by one to explore the political meaning of the ritual symbol of the front page of"People's Daily".Then this article will discuss the positive and negative effects of the ritual communication of this party newspaper.Finally,some expectations are given for the future development of the People's Daily against these communication effects.
