With the advancement of medical and nursing technology and the aggravation of population aging,the death process is becoming more and more complex.People pay more and more attention on how to die with dignity.Today,hospice care has been concerned and accepted by doctors,experts,scholars and the public.Starting from a dying patient who accepted the hospice care,this thesis introduces the practice of hospice care in Jiangsu Province,offers Death Education to the public and explores how to use various social forces to participate in the pension service system through multiple channels and at multiple levels,so as to help construct and improve the hospice care service system in China.This thesis involves a variety of hospice care institutions including Class IIIA hospitals,community hospitals,public and private nursing homes.Despite of different motives and practices,these institutions are facing many problems,be it common or individual.The thesis basically discusses all kinds of dilemmas that they face in the process of promoting hospice care among local communitiesProblem-oriented,the thesis avoids to be sensational.Instead,based on specific hospice care cases,it focuses on the huge demand for hospice care in the society,sorts out main challenges such as lacking of supporting measures and professional talents,and also offers possible solutionsEvery life is important and deserves dignity.To pay attention to death is to show further concerns for life.
