Research On Wanye Press (1938-1954)

As the predecessor of the first professional music press and people's Music Publishing House in China,Wanye Press has its unusual development characteristics.Taking the development of Wanye Press as the research object,this paper discusses the status and influence of Wanye Press in the modern publishing history and music history of China from the perspective of publishing history,and expects to show the industry form of China's publishing industry from 1930 s to 1950 s through the study.Based on the characteristics and symbolic events in the development process of the society,this paper divides its development process from 1938 to 1954 into three stages: formal establishment and preliminary development(1938.7-1945.7),transformation in rapid development(1945.8-1949.12),and development from prosperity to closure(1950.1-1954.10).In the first chapter,the second chapter and the third chapter,the publishing environment,the general situation of publishing and distribution and publications in these three stages are described and analyzed,and the characteristics and changes are summarized,and the reasons for the changes are analyzed.Chapter IV summarizes the publishing characteristics of Wanye Press on the basis of the previous analysis.Finally,the paper draws the conclusion that Wanye Press has grown from a small partnership enterprise to a small and medium-sized joint-stock company,successfully transformed from a comprehensive publishing house to a music professional publishing house,completed its own evolution and breakthroughs,and clearly embodied the characteristics of the epochal development;it has published the first-class music books,created a set of technical standards for music production,and delivered a number of excellent books.Thus,It can be called a milestone in the history of music publishing in China;their success also benefits from the unique design of binding,excellent professional editors/authors team,noble publishing character and other internal factors.Their publishing team has broad publishing horizons and clear minds,and can make professional and rational publishing choices at a turning point in history so as to make a living.Save space.All these can provide reference for the development of today's publishing enterprises.
