Since the 1990 s,left-behind children have become a major problem in society. In the media society, the mimetic environment of media construction has become an important channel for the public to understand and recognize the external world. The media image of left-behind children shaped by media organizations has profoundly affected the public's cognitive level and emotional attitude towards left-behind children. The enlargement and focus have affected the media image of left-behind children constructed by the public, and also affected the social support status of left-behind children. At present, the research results of the media school and the social support of left-behind children are quite abundant, but there are also some shortcomings.First, the previous research often focuses on the media image of left-behind children from the perspective of specific media organizations. The perspective of netizens is included in the study, which results in a single source of data and a lack of cognitive subjects in the media image.Second, the research on social support of left-behind children in the past tends to explore the problem from the perspective of psychology and sociology, from the perspective of a strong relationship network, and largely ignores the weak relationship tendencies of social support research in a media-based society. In view of the methodological problems existing in the above research, this article is guided by the intertextuality and Faircliff discourse analysis theory,from2016 to 2018,Renmin.com,Xinhuanet,Fenghuang.com and its Weibo on left-behind children.Text information such as news reports and netizen comments are used as research materials.Under the aid of natural language processing(NLP),textual content analysis is used as a method to study the media image and social support status of left-behind children. In the research on the media image of left-behind children, this study reveals the difference between media organizations, media organizations and netizens from the theme of the text and the emotional composition of the left-behind children: the media organization news website from three-dimensional,reasonable and diverse The angle constructs the image of left-behind children who are in dilemma, need to be cared for,and are being cared for by the state and society. The media organization microblog constructs the media image of left-behind children who are invaded, their ownproblems and external problems are intertwined and need social and government care.It has aggravated the existence of the media image of the “problem” left-behind children, causing public anxiety;the netizens' perceptions and emotional complexities of left-behind children are generally considered to be the negative role of left-behind children in this era,but they are also negatively hurt by this era.Social role.In the study of social support status of left-behind children, this study mainly analyzes the news texts of media organizations' positive reports on left-behind children and related netizens' comments, revealing the following phenomena and problems in the status quo of social support for left-behind children: First, media organizations Reporting on the news of caring for left-behind children, obeying a normal distribution in time, presenting an event-oriented short-term reporting situation;second, dislocation of the media propaganda platform and agenda setting content, resulting in limited communication effects; The topic of left-behind children in the real world allows netizens to dispel the discourse from the government in an explicit or metaphorical way,and derives the crisis of government trust, thus hindering the construction of the government-led social support system for left-behind children.
