With the rapid development of communication network,various emerging communication systems appear.Because they use different working frequency,modulation system and coding system,the existing hardware communication platform is not compatible with these new communication systems.When a new communication system appears,it is necessary to reconstruct a new hardware platform,which reduces the reuse rate of research and development,leading to the waste of expenses and time.Therefore,to this problem,domestic and foreign countries are making great efforts to research the universal and cheap SDR platform by using high-speed A/D,high-speed D/A,high-speed DSP,high-speed parallel bus and software technology.This paper mainly describes how to use the Kintex7 FPGA and the AD9371 of dual channel RF transceiver to establish an SDR platform,which is universal and has potential advantages in spatial application.The platform embedded MicroBlaze or other CPU soft core in FPGA,using C language to configure AD9371 through SPI interface.The way of software reconfiguration improves the applicability of platform to different tasks.The section of hardware describes the holistic hardware architecture and the key points in hardware design.The SDR platform compares the main technical parameters of data sheet to test and evaluate the performance of the platform.The section of software describes the steps of the code transplantation and the software structure.The difficulty of this platform lies in the flexible use of PCB design rules.The software programmable SDR system is realized in this platform,which greatly improves the work efficiency.With the advantages of wide frequency,large bandwidth and multiple channels,AD9371 also has a great application prospect in UAVs,electronic warfare and military communication.
