Virtual reality technology has become mature and gradually developed into an emerging industry.More and more industries begin to use virtual reality technology for display, entertainment and technological innovation. As the saying goes, theory should be combined with practice, and the rapid development of virtual reality technology in just 20 years, has always been the practical application in the forefront of theoretical development. This leads to the development of virtual reality technology without too much theoretical guidance, into the "period of hesitation." Museums that involve the use of virtual reality also have a variety of flaws and an uncertain future. Therefore, this paper analyzes the development of virtual reality technology and museum industry from the perspective of virtual reality technology, and combines the application of virtual reality technology in museums to analyze the spread and development of virtual reality technology in shaanxi history museum.Considering the influence and enrichment of virtual reality technology on classical news communication theory by combining theory with practice. It is found that due to the communication and interaction characteristics of virtual reality technology, museums,in the traditional sense, only pay attention to the vertical transmission of time, but also have the horizontal transmission ability of space. After investigation, interview and analysis,it is concluded that after the virtual reality technology is grafted into the museum, the "time bias" and "space bias" are no longer separated states, but an organic whole that transforms and connects with each other. This paper also combines in-depth technical theories with communication theories to better understand and develop virtual reality technology and enhance the communication effect of museums.
