In recent years,cat petting fandom has stepped into the spotlight of the Internet and the media.The fandom has attracted the attention of netizens by saying that people with cats are winners in life.With the increasing discussion about cat petting fandom,different commodities revolving around cats have been produced and became an indispensable part for cat lovers.And the group of cat petting fandom has gradually became a topic to be studied by scholars.Consumption itself is one of the important links in the production process.There is a debate about the symbolic value judgment of cat fans.This study will distinguish the groups that like cats from the primary to the senior and explore their consumption structure and respectively.Through the use of text analysis,questionnaire survey,in-depth interviews and observation and other research methods,we will understand the consumption behavior characteristics demands behind the newly emerging youth subculture group of cat fans.This study found that fans of cats all think that they love cats,but whether they love cats themselves or "cat symbols"is the main condition to distinguish the classes of fans.The junior cat fans are willing to claim their senior level as a cat fan group by measuring the time,energy and money spent watching videos and pictures of cats and browsing related forums.The senior cat fans think that cat rescue is more important.In the investigation,it was also found that the consumption attitude and consumption structure of the cat fans would change from cloud cats to obtaining cats and then to rescuing cats.This study shows that there is a fuzzy hierarchy within the cat fan group.The fan group will choose a suitable cat place according to their own needs.Their consumption behavior will change under the influence of the community.Their consumption characteristics will gradually shift from impulsive consumption symbol consumption to rational consumption realized by self-value.In the first chapter,the paper discusses the consumption characteristic of cat fans,the second chapter discusses the consumption structure of the primary cat fans,the consumption psychology of symbolic consumption,the third chapter explores the growth opportunity,consumption characteristics and consumption demands of the intermediate cat fans,and the forth chapter discusses the admission characteristics and consumption psychology of the advanced cat fans.
