| In the era of new media, the national intellectual industry has gradually undergone transformation and up grading. As a new type of knowledge generation and knowledge dissemination institutions, media think tanks generally have problems of homogenous competition, unclear direction, inaccurate positioning and so on,which has led to a slow development of the media think tank industry. In order to solve these problems,it is necessary to optimize and improve the communication ecological environment in which media think tanks are located,to provide more reliable guarantee for the knowledge production and dissemination of think tank. From the perspective of communication ecology, this paper uses literature research, case analysis and systematic analysis methods to understand the problems existing in the development of current media think tanks, clarify the construction needs of media think tanks, build the propagation model of media think tanks based on ecosystem, and finally develop case studies for the Phoenix International Think Tank and propose suggestions for improvement. The specific research work of this paper is as follows:(1)Overview of communication ecological research on media think tanks. The media think tank, information transfer model,"5W" propagation model and the related concepts and theories of communication ecology are described. And some coincidence points between media think tanks and the dissemination ecosystem are summarized, which fully reflects the feasibility and realistic value of this study.(2)Demand analysis of the propagation model of media think tanks based on ecosystem. From the three aspects of the development history, existence form and investigation on development status of media think tanks, the paper summarizes the problems of the over-professional self-positioning,resource dispersion, imperfect communication matrix, unclear audience positioning and low content promotion of media think tanks. The needs of audience participation, product integration, communication matrix building, audience positioning and technology up grades are identified.(3)Construction of the propagation model of media think tanks based on ecosystem.Define the design thinking according to these requirements, and based on the conceptualmodel, the overall structure of the media think tank propagation model is constructed. The model consists of two parts. The first part is divided into three modules:one is communication hierarchy based on the "5W",with emphasis on the internal elements of each level and analysis of the internal organizational structure of media think tanks. The second is communication ecological chain, from the perspective of content production to describe the knowledge processing and transfer process within media think tanks, highlighting the knowledge integration, transformation, feedback and so on,The third is communication ecological niche. It summarizes ecological niche advantages of media think tanks and encourages media think tanks to highlight their strengths and develop differentiated communication strategies. The second part is the dissemination nechanism of media think tanks in the comnunication ecosystem.(4)Case study on Phoenix International Think Tank(PIT).This paper briefly outlines the development history, creation concept and basic eharacteristics of PIT,and analyzes the propagation model of PIT from the aspects of team conposition, content selection, product production, audience positioning and communication concept in detail, and proposes corresponding suggestions for improvement. This research is the intersection and integration of the theories and methods of information science, media communication and ecology, and is a useful exploration to solve the problem of homogeneous competition between media think tanks. The research on the propagation model of media think tanks based on ecosystem not only broadens the theoretical perspective of the think tank research, and points out the innovative development direction of media think tanks in the new era,but also realizes the innovation of the original communication ecological theory, and provides theoretical reference for media think tanks to optimize organization structure and stimulate communication vitality. |
