Nowadays,Internet of Things(IOT)technology has extended to many fields such as smart home,digital medicine,intelligent transportation and smart city.Through the integration of sensing,network and communication technologies,the perception of the physical world is transmitted to computer systems,and the integration of physical information and human natural perception is realized.The core of IOT is information service.However,in different areas of demand,there is a diversity of hardware for the IOT.Existing IOT systems need specific hardware development for different applications.Therefore,a universal hardware platform of IOT can bring great convenience to the development and application of IOT.In view of the shortcomings of the existing development platform of IOT,such as co mplex implementation and high development cost,this paper proposes a hardware platform for IOT.which integrates multiple data transmission modes and cloud platform analysis and feedback.The platform consists of a dual-center hardware terminal and its embedded softw are and data interface.The platform uses a variety of data interfaces to access IOT devices with different communication protocols.The hardware terminal consists of central controlMCU(Micro Controller Unit)and data processing MCU and peripheral modules.The central control MCU is responsible for task scheduling of the entire hardware platform.The data processing MCU analyses and calculates the underlying data and transmits it to the central control MCU,which forwards the analysis results to other IOT devices or IOT cloud platfo rms through the network communication module.The central control MCU can also receive feedback information from cloud platforms and analyze it,and then send commands to dif ferent modules accessing the hardware platform.At the same time,embedded software code s or protocols in the platform can be updated by commands sent by the cloud,realizing th e hardware platform that can be upgraded online,greatly reducing the time,human resource s and economic costs of IOT development,and improving the development efficiency.In this paper,the hardware and software design ideas and solutions of the hardware platform are described in detail from two main aspects:hardware circuit and interface design and embedded software design.The hardware implementation includes control unit,data processing unit and communication interface modules.The implementation of embedded software includes data processing and analysis,instruction upload and download,and its own remote firmware upgrade modules.After the overall test of the platfonn,it can fully meet the expected requirements,and show excellent performance,stable operation in the deployed environment.With the normal operation of the platform,the social value and practical significance of the hardware platform scheme of the IOT designed in this paper have been fully verified.
