With the development of the Internet and new media,big data came into being.Nowadays we are in the “big data era”,and the role of data is becoming more diverse.The news media applies data to the news industry,bringing data and news together,creating a new form of news reporting – data journalism.Today,the competition in journalism is getting fiercer and fiercer,data journalism provides a new outlet for the news media.From the British "Guardian",the United States "New York Times" to the domestic Xinhuanet,People's Network,Caixin.com,you can find that traditional media and new media at home and abroad are conducting data journalism.After years of practice,data journalism has become more mature.Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has continued to develop rapidly,healthily,and the public's attention to the economy has increased dramatically.The topic of finance and economics has attracted the attention of many media.In this situation,a number of media began to try to combine data journalism with financial news to produce financial data journalism.Financial data journalism not only provides traditional media with a suitable direction of transformation,but also has certain significance and influence on the development of data journalism.Therefore,this topic uses “Shuzishuo” of Caixin.com as an example to analyze the characteristics of financial and economic data journalism.In the research process,quantitative and qualitative research methods are combined.On the basis of a detailed understanding of relevant concepts and current situation,we use case study method,content analysis method and text analysis method to analyze the topic selection,production and dissemination characteristics of financial data journalism under this column.In the topic selection,this paper mainly summarizes the characteristics of topic selection and subdivision of financial data journalism by quantitative and qualitative methods.In terms of production,we will cut through the narrative perspective,and on the one hand,we will divide the different production elements of the news and summarize its characteristics,including data,visualization,text,interaction;on the other hand,analyzing the construction features of different elements,including layout patterns,narrators,and narrative perspectives;In the terms of dissemination,we mainly analyze the characteristics of Weibo communication of financial news journalism in communication.At the end of the article,we pointed out the existing problems of financial data journalism in China and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
