The radome is an essential part of the airborne antenna system,while taking into account the aerodynamic shape and structural strength,it is also necessary to minimize the influence of the radome on the electrical performance of the antenna.How to achieve high-efficiency wave transmission characteristics and other electrical performance indicators of largecurvature radome has become an urgent problem in the field of aerospace.Based on the novel electromagnetic characteristics of the Metamaterials,we make the analysis and research of large-curvature radome from the perspective of zero-refractive-index materials and meta-surfaces,including the following aspects: 1.Based on Floquet theorem,this paper analyzes the peoridiacl mode match method for artificial electromagnetic materials.We studies the theory of the equivalent-medium of Metamaterials,and experimentally demonstrated the feasibility of the method of inversion of equivalent electromagnetic parameters.Based on the above theories,the design of metasurfaces elements of SRMs and its complementary CSRMs are analyzed and the phase characteristics at different incident angles are analyzed.2.Theoretical analysis shows that the large curvature characteristics of the planar radome is equivalent to continuous large-angle oblique incidence.So we designed a planar radome based on epsilon-near-zero metamaterials to achieve full transmission of different polarization electromagnet waves from 0 to 80 degrees of continuous large-angle oblique incidence with angular stability.Breaking the angle filter characteristic of the zerorefractive-index radome,which is more conducive to promotion and practical application.3.Finally,based on the theory of the gradient phase meta-surfaces,two kinds of twodimensional taper large curvature meta-surfaces radome are designed and extended to the three-dimensional triangular pyramid structure.On the basis of ensuring the efficient transmission characteristics,the function of beam control of the large curvature radome is realized.With great electrical properties,this large-curvature and multi-functional radome has great potential of application.
