The purpose of study of large-scale spherical radome engineering is to determine the dividing principle of spherical radome and to give a preliminary blueprint of structure design. Load analysis and structure optimization are carried out subsequently to make sure that radar antenna meet all the environment conditions. The efficiency of designer in the stage of dividing spherical radome will be improved greatly ,if parametric design of dividing of radome is realized by using of 3D CAD modeling technology.According to its structure ,a variety of domestic and foreign spherical radome is classified in this paper firstly. Based on the classification, the principle of various large spherical radome structure and its advantages and disadvantages is analysed and explained, which will make a necessary preparation for the building of large spherical radome. On the basis of the structure principle of various large spherical radome and practical experince, the study and analysis is carried on about its manufacture and installation and the tecenology of forming process. The detailed contents is involved in under:1.The dividing tecenology of large spherical radome is studied by use of 3D software PRO/E and its digital modeling is built.2.Statics analysis of large space frame radome is carried on under weight and wind load and its rigidity and intensity is verified.3.The material of large dielectic radome and its manufactural process and the installation are analysed and explained.
