With the development of computing technology,the rate of transmission of data and throughput is becoming more and more important.DMA technology has become a viable option since it occupys less resources.This paper focuses on the MAC layer interface of 802.11 a WiFi prototype,and design an avalible way to achive DMA.The rest part of this paper works on the DMA system's implementation and test.The content is as follow:1)In the second chapter,we give a brief introduction of PCIe protocol.The following chapters describe the implementation of DMA controller,and design the DMA driver on the PC side.The prototype contains many modules such as DMA Controler,RX ENGINE,TX ENGINE,LOW MAC Memory composed.Firstly,we describe the design of these modules.Secondely,in order to reduce CPU usage,we compare three different ways of descriptor delivery,and described a process of transmitting data during reception and transmission.In the forth chapter,we give an introduction about how driver transmit descriptor and data in the interaction process.Finally we accomplish the implemention of MAC layer interface in the AP side,and tests the transmission speed of the AP prototype.2)In the sixth chapter,we introduces the AXI bus and design the STA side DMA controller and storage module,build a channel for descriptor transmission.The following chapter describes the design of DMA driver,mainly focuse on how the descriptor and skb is recycled.Finally we test the transmission speed of the STA prototypeThis paper has designed an avaliable interface for MAC layer of 802.11 ax WiFi prototype,the interface we designed achieves goals in the test.
