With the growing popularity of wireless terminals,people have a higher demand for high-speed Internet access: in the limited bandwidth and multi-user access environment to ensure the high rate of communication and high reliability.In order to meet these needs,TGax working group in 2019 to develop the next generation of WiFi standard IEEE 802.11 ax.The application of the latest 802.11 ax standard MU-MIMO technology,its limit rate can reach 10 Gbps,is four times the previous generation 802.11 ac protocol standard rate,multi-user access environment can greatly enhance the communication speed and stability.This paper is derived from the laboratory and a well-known communications company jointly developed "10Gbps Wi-Fi prototype 802.11 ax based project",the focus of our work is the design and implementation of a FPGA/Verilog MU-MIMO system for 802.11 ax receiver.First of all,based on the latest IEEE 802.11 ax standard proposal,the structure of 802.11 ax receiver is studied,and the structure of MU-MIMO system in 802.11 ax receiver is determined.Then,based on the LS algorithm and its improvement,the design and optimization of 802.11 ax channel estimation are designed.At the same time,we make a deep research on the MIMO decoding algorithm of the receiver,improve the traditional MMSE algorithm,design and implement the optimized MU-MIMO detection algorithm based on MMSE.Then based on the simulation results,the floating-point,channel estimation and MIMO detection of the key module of the receiver in MU-MIMO system FPGA hardware implementation,in order to use the pipelining module reuse and other optimization techniques,the preparation of the corresponding hardware implementation code(Verilog),and through the Modelsim simulation platform to do functional simulation of each module.Finally,the function simulation and Matlab simulation platform of the theoretical value to do comparative analysis,MU-MIMO system is designed to get the correct determination.
