As an important carrier for the dissemination of popular culture,the television media plays an irreplaceable role in transmitting social images or constructing social significance.As a visual medium,television has been fully integrated into people's daily lives and has become an important platform for people to understand the outside world.When it comes to the urban-rural dual structure or the differences between urban and rural areas,the urban-rural image presented by television media tends to be stereotyped.This affects the audience's real perception of urban-rural image to a certain extent,and television media should be careful to distinguish "Media reality" and "reality reality."This article starts with the process of the description of the origin and current situation of the "Stereotype Theory",and seeks and discusses the core of the controversy in the history of the theory.Based on the Hunan TV's "Transformation" as blueprint for research,and from the solidification and opposition of characters between urban and rural areas,conflict and contradiction among the way of life between urban and rural areas,rigidity and unity among living environment between urban and rural areas.These three aspects present stereotypes embodied in urban and rural construction.The third part of the thesis focuses on the effect of the "urban and rural stereotypes" on the characters' groups(both in urban and rural)and spectators groups.On this basis,the fourth part of the paper will be focused on five aspects as the TV dramatic conflict,ratings,cross-cultural communication,class view of the city centralism,catering to the audience "roots culture" to explore the causes of "stereotype" in urban and rural areas construction in the Transformation.The last part of the essay aims to give some suggestion on the feasibility of deconstruction "stereotypes" urban and rural areas for the TV program as the topic involves in urban and rural areas: The first is to construct an active and diverse urban and rural image that should include the establishment of correct creative ideas,to eliminate bias perspective in urban and rural areas,guide the real communication between urban and rural areas and improve outstanding public service functions;Secondly,innovative program production mode should break through the mold selection,seek new expression mode,adhere to the real program concept,and reduce the planning trace.
