With the developing of modern economy,science and technology,as well as people's living standard,an increasing number of people begin to pay their attention on enhancing their quality of life.At the same time,they focus far more on the convenience and security of household life.The concept of smart home system emerges as the times require.It is a combination of computers,embedded system,and technology of network communication,and it brings together all kinds of the devices in our the household life,such as security systems,lighting systems,and other household appliances containing television,washing machines,refrigerators,etc.This combination could be intelligently controlled to satisfy people's pursuit of high quality life.This paper begins with introducing the concept of smart home,and reviewing the previous research on smart home in China and abroad.Based on this,a research and design on mobile phone based high definition video surveillance system is conducted.By analyzing the existing remote monitor and control system,the purpose of the research is to design a remote monitor and control system which can be integrated into the family security system.Considering the subsequent scalability and innovation of the system,the mobile phone platform MT6735 and th e matched MT6625 Wi Fi chip are selected as the development platform.Video surveillance systems currently on the market right now are limited ability of image data processing,thus most of these systems selected for camera chips with low pixel,which makes the image quality not quite high.So a big innovations in this paper is the selection of a mobile phone platform with 8 million high megapixel camera chip OV8865 and powerful image signal processor(ISP)to ensure the high quality image.The research and design on hardware and software of the system are carried out in this paper.The requirement of hardware design in this system is through selection of each module,circuit design,PCB Layout design.Software is introduced by several key modules: Linux embedded system,Camera device drivers and the effect of image quality(IQ)debugging,Wi Fi network and client design,et al.Finally,the validation of the whole system is conducted,including basic function and image quality(IQ)testing.The key of basic functional testing is to see if the entire system works well,and the key of image quality(IQ)testing is to test whether the image quality(IQ)meet HD effect.This paper introduces the two aspects in detail,and the test results meet the design requirements.
