The Narrative Art Of Nan Xianghong's Features

Since 2000,thousands papers have been studied with the Southern Weekend and its news reports,but there is little research on its journalists and their works.This is related to the documentary,chronicle of news.News is based on the "matters",reporting in time,it's not easy to display personalities.The journalist who can form a personal style in the news must be the best.Nan Xianghong is a woman journalist with a rather personal style,and the unique narrative perspective,style and observation power endow her features with the "true" and the "beauty".Based on the 41 features published by Nan Xianghong in 1990-2015,this paper,supported by the classical narrative theory of Gerard Genette and Greimas.Analyzing the narrative art from three aspects of stories,narration and discourse.The full text is composed of the following four chapters.The first chapter introduces the origin,significance,research object,theoretical support and research method of the thesis,and defines the key concepts such as "feature ","narratology","news narratology" and combs the research status of the feature,the narrative theory,the news narrative theory,and the feature of Nan Xianghong.The second chapter studies from the story level.Through the statistical and semantic analysis of the actors in the feature of Nan Xianghong,it is found that the actors in the feature show the two characteristics of "Missing Official" and "the Antagonistic People ".Among them,the official image of "rude,brutal,inaction",the people are very thin but have a sense of resistance;the narrative rhythm,using details,the combination of events and narratives to create the internal rhythm,cause the ups and downs of the audience's psychology,and the outside through the long and short paragraphs.The audience enjoys the visual enjoyment.The combination of narrative rhythm and internal and external rhythms has strong picture sense and pleasant aesthetic experience.The third chapter from the narrative level,it is found that Nan Xianghong often uses "Public Narrator" to give a strong human feeling and serious thinking about the things described."the Public Narrator" shows a high frequency of the first person appearance in this study;in the narrative perspective,the identity of the female journalist makes she focuse on education,ecology,environment,disaster and attention to women,the elderly,children and other vulnerable groups,which forms a distinct "Her Perspective" and "Bottom Focus" in her features.The fourth chapter studies from the discourse level,it is found that the features of Nan Xianghong presents the characteristics of high temperature narration.In terms of vocabulary,Nan is not a taboo to choose high subjective adjectives and modality words;On sentence patterns,interrogative sentences,exclamatory sentences and simile rhetorical "xiang" words have a high frequency in Nan's features.It is found that the fusion of news authenticity and literary aesthetic characteristics,the collision of journalists' professionalism and female identity,the game of news objectivity and the desire for self expression make the special story of Nanxiang red present a deep reason for the unique narrative art.As a serious newspapers with deep credibility in China,The South Weekend sticks to justice,conscience,love and rational.It respects the market rules and the audiences demand,which has trained a large number of excellent journalists.Nan Xianghong is one of the most valuable journalists.Her work is called the Chinese Feature,and she is also known as The Self-Conscious Feature explorer.Nan's features have a unique narrative art.Facing of the uneven quality of features,the model text of Nan's works is more valuable for analysis,research and study.The paper is based on Nan's 41 published features between 2003 and 2010,supported by Cai Zhiguo's theories of news narratology,from three aspects: the story,narrative and discourse analysis.The paper consists of four chapters:Chapter one is Introduction.Introducing of research background,theoretical basis and research status,and the basic concepts involved in the paper are defined;Chapter two is the story level.Founding the doer of Nan's feature presents the lack of official and the opposing people.Internal rhythm and external rhythm form the Narrative Rhythm.The former's high and low priority change the audiences' psychology,The latter's order brings enjoyment to the audience's perspective.Chapter there is the narrative level,Nan's features are full of human,which embodys in the reporter often play as a "public narrator" express.The Perspective presents Her Perspective and the underlying focusing.Chapter four is discourse level,using the high subjective adjective and modal.On Sentence patterns,interrogative sentences,exclamatory sentences and “xiang” sentences appear frequently in Nan's features.In the organization of discourse,details and comments are the means of self-expression.The study found that the fusing of news authenticity and literary aesthetic,the conflicting of journalistic professionalism and female characteristics,the fighting of news objectivity and self-expression desire make Nan's features present the unique narrative art.
