Research On Workflow Engine Based On Web Service

In recent years,due to the development of informatization,the traditional workflow technology can hardly meet the needs of enterprise informatization in the integration and reusability of the system and the communication of heterogeneous platform,the advent of web services technologies provides a way to solve these problems.Combination of Web Service technology and workflow technology can solve the problem of difficult interoperability in the traditional workflow management system and play an active role in the research and practical application of workflow technology.According to the poor interoperability and weak integration ability of the workflow system in the current practical application,the design and implementation of a workflow engine based on Web Service is given in this paper,we intended to realize the interoperability execution capabilities of the workflow engine through Web Service technology so as to achieve a workflow system with low coupling,high interoperability,easy expansion,and easy integration in a heterogeneous distributed environment.The following research work is carried out in this paper:First,we studied the functional characteristics of the components of workflow management system,and the reference model and architecture of Wf MC standard.We analyzed the architecture and three basic elements of Web Service Technology:SOAP,WSDL and UDDI.Secondly,referring to the workflow reference model of Wf MC,the architecture of workflow management system based on Web Service is proposed and designed,and the sub modules are analyzed in detail through the way of system module partition,and based on this architecture,a Shared process model based on Web service is designed.Last,based on the analysis of the existing workflow engine,an interoperable workflow engine based on Web Service is designed and implemented,and the core functions and characteristics of the engine are analyzed in details.
