With the continuous development of safe city and intelligent transportation,the application of video surveillance system in the field of security has kept steady growth.At present,the cable video surveillance system still occupies most of the market,while the cable video surveillance system has many problems,such as large amount of wiring work,high cost and poor mobility.This paper designs a wireless video surveillance system based on Linux by studying the related technologies of wireless video surveillance system.The system is divided into monitoring server and monitoring client.Through wireless network connection,it can overcome the defects of the cable video monitoring system.The hardware platform of the system's monitoring server consists of the main control chip Huawei Hisilicon Hi3520 D,AD chip,WIFI module,4G module and various interfaces.System monitoring client running on PC,developed by VS2010 and VLC library.This paper mainly completes the following research work:(1)According to the development trend of the video surveillance system and the design requirements of this paper,the overall design of the system is proposed,and the system's hardware and software are designed.(2)The related technologies of video surveillance system are studied,including video compression coding algorithm H.264,audio coding algorithm G.711 and streaming media transport protocol RTP/RTCP.(3)The software development environment of the system monitoring server is built,including the establishment of the cross compilation environment,the Bootloader transplant of the embedded Linux operating system,the kernel transplantation and the production of the root file system.(4)The development of monitoring server application software has realized the driver porting and networking of the WIFI module and the 4G module,audio and video data acquisition,compression coding and wireless transmission.(5)The algorithm of moving target detection was studied.The background subtraction method was used on the monitor server to realize the real-time analysis of the video data and the motion detection and alarm were completed.(6)The development of monitoring client application software has realized the simultaneous reception and decoding of audio and video data,real-time playing,playback,and collection of voice data,thus realizing the intercom function of the server and the client.(7)The entire system is tested.The test results show that the H.264 compression efficiency of the Linux-based wireless video surveillance system designed in this paper reaches 98.14%~98.28%,and the WIFI and 4G real-time transmission delay is between 300~340ms,the video and voice are clear,the motion detection effect is better,the system has better stability and reliability,it can meet the system design requirements.
