Research On Human Network Dependence In Everyday Life Information Seeking Behavior

With the rapid development of Internet technology,people's information seeking behavior has undergone tremendous changes;as an important part of information seeking,the everyday life information seeking behavior is also changing subtlely.From the perspective of information sources and information channels,a large part of everyday life information seeking behavior is informal communication based on human networks.Researching the tendency of human network dependence helps to further clarify the behavioral characteristics of everyday life information seeking.At the same time,compared with foreign studies,the research in our country is slightly insufficient in theory and depth,empirical researches are more concentrated in a certain special group,especially in information vulnerable groups,and the research object needs to be further strengthened in coverage and comparability.In order to gain a deeper understanding of the human network dependence in everyday life information seeking behavior,this study selected people in Chongqing as the research object from the perspective of age.Combining the population structure in Chongqing and the age classification criteria in China,this study divided the interpersonal networks into virtual human network and real human networks,which can be further subdivided into five parts.The main data collection methods include interviews and questionnaires,and descriptive statistical analysis,correlation analysis,homogeneity of variance test,and analysis of variance has been used as the main data analysis methods to analyze whether there're any relationship between different human network dependence in different age groups,and this study also analyzed the dependence characteristics of everyday life information seeking behavior on human networks from the perspective of age,information awareness,attitudes towards life,household registration,occupation,marital status and so on.The study have found:(1)Different types of people have different inquiry types when using different types of human networks.On the whole,people's changes in the inquiry types tend to increase first and then decrease as they age.Among them,the inquiry types of 7-17 year olds are the most concentrated,and the inquiry types type of information demands of the 18-40 year-old youth and the 41-65-year-old middle-aged are the most extensive,However,compared with the former(aged 18-40),people aged 41-65 has relatively concentrated needs for information about children's education,old-age support and medical and health care.People over the age of 66 focus on information related to health and weather tourism and children's education.(2)For the kinship network,it turns out the network use process is easier,but the result obtained is not that satisfied;as for wenyuan human network and business network,it is slightly more difficult in network using process,but a higher satisfaction of results obtained;The difficulty in the use of virtual personal networks is small,but the degree of satisfaction with the results obtained through this network is not optimistic.In general,people tend to rely more on the use of real-world networks than virtual networks.(3)In the using barriers that affect the real human network and virtual human networks,the main reasons affecting the former include not knowing whether the other side has related information,too little information to solve the problem,no contact method,and feeling bad like feeling un-respectful during the inquiry process;the main reasons that affect the latter include lack of literacy,the internet is too complicated and difficult to learn,the authenticity of network information is difficult to distinguish.(4)In analyzing the correlation between other factors and human network dependence,it is found that the education level has a strong positive correlation with the Wenyuan human network and the business human network;and the personal monthly income has a strong positive correlation with the use of the business network;both life attitude and information awareness have a strong positive correlation with the use of virtual personal networks.(5)Through analysis of variance and relative centrality,it is found that the dependence of relatives on kinship network is not low among people of all ages,of which 7-10 years old enlightenment teenagers have the highest degree of dependence;in the use of geo-personal networks,oldpeople over 66 have a higher degree of dependence;the dependence of business human network is mainly reflected in the middle-aged people and 56-65 early-old population;elderly people represented by seniors aged 73-84 years are most dependent on Shenyuan human networks;for the use of virtual human networks,teenagers,especially those aged 15-17,have the greatest degree of dependence on virtual interpersonal networks.
