As one of the most popular online vehicles in China,WeChat plays an important role in the development of interpersonal relationships.The WeChat sticker is a unique chat method in the WeChat space.It not only exceeds the boundaries of language,but also enriches communication methods and optimizes social relationships among people.This study uses web stickers in WeChat communication as the research object,using a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods,trying to explain the relationship between the use of WeChat space emoticons and interpersonal intimacy.This paper explores the differences between the use of WeChat stickers and the two variables of interpersonal intimacy,and explores the differences in the use of WeChat stickers under demographic variables and whether WeChat stickers will affect interpersonal intimacy.Through questionnaires and interviews,the study found that gender,age,and educational level existed in different degrees in the frequency of use of WeChat stickers,the number of uses,and the understanding to the stickers,but there was no significant difference in the level of use;It has also been found that the use of WeChat stickers has a positive and related effect on interpersonal intimacy.Specifically,WeChat users use WeChat stickers in their chats to help maintain and promote intimacy.This kind of intimacy is maintained and promoted through higher frequency of use,deeper emoticon comprehension,and more use.Quantity and further usage levels are achieved.In the analysis of data and interviews,the researchers also found that the use of WeChat stickers helps maintain interpersonal relationships and optimize social relationships,but over-reliance on stickers can lead to degraded expressiveness,and the proliferation of emoticons in WeChat space can even Raising the distance between people in the Internet age,using rational and appropriate emoticons is the reason for the closeness of interpersonal relationships.The innovation of this research is the combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods.Within the crossroads of communication and psychology,the two communication elements of behavior and non-linguistic symbols are included in the research framework,and micro-perspectives are used to explore instant messaging tools.The impact of stickers on interpersonal intimacy.
