Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hua Chunying's News Language Features

The press spokesman system in China dated back to the 1980 s,and it was im proved since 2003.But the system began to become mature and achieved developm ent since the beginning of 2008.As the establishment of service-based government in China and the increase of international influence,the special government image of women is beneficial for the establishment of good governmental and national im age.Hua Chunying is the only spokeswoman in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at present,her accurate use of news language can provide beneficial references for the improvement of other spokesperson's language accomplishment.In this paper,literature method,content analysis and text analysis are used,wh ile news language of the spokeswoman in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been taken as the research object.From the perspectives of voice skill and language sty le,it analyzes the characteristics of news language that Hua Chunying used in regu lar press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and makes a summary base d on her usage of news language,so it can provide inspiration for news spokespers on in China,and provide beneficial references for the spokesperson in China in ter ms of the usage of comprehensive news language,and the improvement of languag e accomplishment.Based on the research results,it is believed the news language of the spokesw oman Hua Chunying in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the below characteristic s: In terms of voice skill,Hua Chunying uses corresponding voice skill to handle d ifferent international issues properly to achieve different effect of tone;In terms of language style,formal written language is the basic language style,but she also k eeps her own style of softness;In terms of language strategy,Hua Chunying can make use of multiple language strategies flexibly based on the principle of news la nguage;In terms of body language,Hua Chunying used proper body language and facial language in regular press conference.Besides,the subjective and objective ca uses for the formation of Hua Chunying's news language characteristics are analyze d in this paper,including the historical background,the feature of the news confere nce and personal accomplishment of the spokesperson etc.After analyzing the characteristics of Hua Chunying's news language,conclusio ns are made as below: Hua Chunying could use voice skills,language style and bo dy language accurately;Hua Chunying has great media accomplishment,and benign interaction with media;Spokeswoman has better appetency.As the construction of news spokesperson system was proposed by the Party Central Committee and State Council,the construction of news spokesperson team and the cultivation of their co mprehensive ability are urgently needed.Therefore,the news language characteristics,language accomplishment and comprehensive language ability of the spokeswoman Hua Chunying in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can provide important inspiration and references for other spokesperson in China.Therefore,suggestions are proposed in this paper: spokesperson should improve their news language accomplishment,media accomplishment and professional ability;the government should pay more att ention to the cultivation of news spokesperson and establish a system for the cultiv ation of news spokesperson.
