With the continuous advancement of semiconductor technology,circuit design and imaging algorithms,infrared detection technology has matured and has played an important role in more and more fields,especially in some military fields,such as infrared guidance,all-weather detection and other fields.However,as infrared detection technology is being more and more important,infrared camouflage and other technologies used in counter infrared detection technology are also developing rapidly.In this situation,traditional infrared detection technology is facing a lot of new challenges.Polarization detection technology is an emerging detection technology developed in recent years.It uses the polarization information of the reflected light waves from the surface of the object to detect the target.This is a feature that other traditional detection technologies do not have.Polarization detection introduces a new detection dimension,which can effectively avoid detection interference caused by traditional camouflage technology.At the same time,it also has a stronger detection capability in the background of harsh environments such as smog and jungle.Introducing the polarization detection technology into the traditional infrared detection technology can increase the information dimension of infrared detection,make up for the defects of current infrared detection technology,fight against infrared camouflage technology such as heat insulation layer and camouflage paint better,and identify the target more actually.Also,it can make the infrared image more stereoscopic and has more details.Based on infrared micro-polarization detector and FPGA chip,this paper designs the system of the infrared polarization imaging system which is required to realize the fusion technology of infrared polarized image and infrared radiation image.By analyzing the polarization imaging theory and the principle of infrared micro polarization detector,this paper studies the algorithms of key technologies such as infrared polarization correction technology,infrared polarization imaging,super-resolution of infrared polarization images and image fusion.The algorithm is tested on the Matlab,and the results of the test is being used to build the framework of the algorithm in FPGA.Based on the framework,this paper studies the key technologies in implementing the algorithm on FPGA.And the main code is written in Verilog language.The result of the code test proves that the image fusion function which includes outputting in gray fusion image with single channel and outputting in color fusion image with three channels is completed and the real-time infrared polarization detection is realized.
