The Research On LTE Small Base Station & Multi-scene Application

Due to the weak coverage of high frequency LTE signal as well as blocking,screening and absorption of buildings,it is very likely that a weak area of LTE signal or even a blind area would emerge.In hot spot areas with high business density,local network capacity cannot meet users' demands,which often result in low user throughput and poor using experience.Although the combination of macro stations and indoor distribution system can serve as one of the measures to solve thorough coverage problems,because of the difficulties in coordination and skyplane construction,the coverage of some particular areas cannot be achieved through the macro stations.Besides,the construction cost will also be relatively high.Therefore,it is a brand new challenge for optimization personnel to take advantage of the existing resources of fixed network,so as to find flexible and quick solution to insufficient coverage of mobile network.This paper aims at exploring the key technologies and measures for LTE small base station network for weak coverage problems.This paper mainly introduces and analyzes the application of small LTEbase stations,from perspectives of research background,types of base stations,station key technologies,application scenarios,as well as field operating and testing technologies.It provides a comprehensive explanation to the research and application of small LTE base stations.In this paper,different types of base stations are specified and compared for their respective advantages and disadvantages.The present situation of the base stations and specific application technologies are also comprehensively summarized.Besides,the paper also introduces stations using OFDM technology and other key technologies such as MIMO and downlink power control technology.Finally,this paper thoroughly describes four case studies,concerning the application of present small stations for establishing experimental network.By making full use of the station,the author successfully solve the existing problems in the network by testing the advantage of small base stations.Building small base stations is an important means for the network of mobile communication in the future.At the same time,small base stations can also be combined with other technologies to form a variety of network schemes.Therefore,small base stations not only provide effective solutions to weak coverage problems,but also improve LTE online experience.
