Association Analysis Between Institution Repository Metadata Format And Marc Metadata Format

Bibliographic data play important role in management,retrieval and use.There is contain massive use value in large number of bibliographic data,but we can't use it very smoothly because of obsolete,closed type format and develop into Information Island when other information source had become opened.The developments of the concept of open access and institutional repository have provided new ideas for libraries and other information institutions to research new directions and topics.Multivariate and complexity is the main features of information source in institution repository.In order to locate the source which user need,metadata format for sources in institutional repository must have higher pertinence to describe the features.And a lot of institution repository metadata formats can describe the semantics of feature of information sources.So we can find some differences between institution repository metadata formats and bibliographic metadata format.Considering the contradiction between defects of the traditional bibliographic metadata frameworks and exploring the potential use value of bibliographic data,with the help of other metadata format to reform the bibliographic metadata format.Association study between bibliographic metadata framework and institution repository metadata formats have great practical significance.As research object,oaf?junii2 and RIF-CS will be combined with CNMARC to organize into three groups.Using Gephi software to analysis,visualize the mapping network between different metadata formats.On the basis of analysis,this paper try to summary degree of openness of metadata formats,distinguish different functional areas in CNMARC and give ways of improvement.Discussion of development direction about bibliographic metadata framework provides reference for the exploration of the value of bibliographic data resources,to accelerate the integration of library into the social information environment.
