Influence Of Applying Domestic Materials To Supply Chain Of Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry

S company confronted the problem in early years' of its development is that most equipments,raw materials and spare parts are needed to be imported because domestic materials are not developed enough to be used.This led some problem to its supply chain,such as high inventory,high risk of shortage and expiry,complexity of import procedure,unstable supply chain and so on.With the great support from Chinese government,domestic material suppliers boomed.Their products started to be used in some advanced semiconductor manufacturing companies,as well as S company.Using domestic materials to replace foreign materials was a good way of risk reduction.S company witnessed some improvements.Its logistic was improved,such as logistics time was shortened,procedure was simplified,warehouse pressure was unloaded and influence caused by natural and social changes reduced.Cost saving was obvious.Its logistics,inventory,labor and price cost were all reduced.It also brought in relationship improvement for S company's relationship with vendors,customers,government and semiconductor industry.There are three models to prove the reform result positive.Problem of S company's supply chain is solved.This reformation and its model can also be applied in other semiconductor manufacturing companies.
