The Application Of Wireless Sensor Network In Agriculture Greenhouse Monitoring System

The emerging field of wireless sensor networks(WSN)combines sensing,computing,and communications with micro devices.In modern agriculture,Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)provides a simple and cost-effective solution for monitoring and controlling plants.The important parameters to monitor include humidity and temperature.An intelligent low-cost wireless sensor network that uses ZigBee technology for monitoring and control is presented in this paper.The high input of greenhouse crops,especially wild vegetables and fungi,and the efficient scientific management of high value-added crops are the urgent needs of agricultural production personnel.With the development of Wireless Sensor Network(WSN),a new type of greenhouse wireless monitoring system that does not require on-site wiring can be easily deployed,has a high coverage rate and low cost,and has become a new demand in the agricultural greenhouse field.In the proposed context,based on the near field communication technology Zigbee and the long-range wireless communication technology GSM/GPRS,a new greenhouse monitoring system WSN model was proposed and designed in the paper.The data transmission is reliable,the maintenance is convenient,and the cost is low.We build a Zigbee wireless sensor network in each greenhouse,which has a central node and many collection nodes.Then each central node is connected to a GSM/GPRS module.Later,at these central nodes,a remote wireless communication network is established between the greenhouse manager's mobile phone and the PC with the GSM/GPRS module.The system test results show that the wireless sensor network system with Zigbee and GPRS as the core,combined with the database management program of the greenhouse monitoring system is effective,reliable and feasible.This opened up a new stage for the development of the greenhouse monitoring system.
