In the information age,the mobile hard disk has the advantages of large storage capacity,cheap price and so on.It is the main storage medium of the society.Therefore,it is of great significance to provide a simple and practical security mechanism for the mobile hard disk.The data encryption method of hard disk is divided into two kinds: the software encryption scheme and the hardware encryption scheme.Hardware encryption has the advantages of high security coefficient,fast encryption speed,and low occupancy of operating system resources.Compared with foreign countries,the domestic research on hard disk encryption card technology started late and is not mature enough.The main control chip used in the hard disk encryption card developed in this paper integrates the AES hardware core,the USB core,the SATA core and the DBUF core.The peripheral circuit design and software design are relatively streamlined,in addition to the main control chip peripheral circuit,only need to expand the user input module,the hard disk card status display module and power management module.Software design including USB firmware,AES firmware,SATA firmware,key management firmware,keys and LED control firmware.USB core firmware includes USB control transmission firmware and USB batch transmission firmware.Key management firmware includes key generation firmware,key storage firmware,key verification firmware and key replacement firmware.The hard disk encryption card adopts three level key management scheme,combined with the security of dynamic key update and AES algorithm encryption,and realizes the key management with low complexity and high security coefficient.Finally,we tested the AES encryption and decryption data and key generation,storage correctness,hard disk encryption card speed,key,LED management and key verification,modification and reset functions.The test results show that all functions of the hard disk encryption card run normally,and have the advantages of fast transmission speed,AES encryption and decryption function takes up a low proportion of system reources,simple hardware design and high security of key.
