Research On The Spreading Of Health Rumors In The Era Of New Media

Based on the perspective of communication,this dissertation systematically and logically analyzed the health rumors in the era of new media with the theoretical knowledge of sociology,psychology and journalism.The author takes five basic elements of the communication process determined by American scholar Lasswell as the objects.These objects are the health rumors makers,health rumors,health rumors media,health rumors spreaders and communication effects.And these elements have been studied throughout the dissertation.Based on media elements—new media supported by digital technology and network technology as the entry point for research,using literature research method,content analysis method,qualitative comparative analysis method(QCA),this dissertation analyzes health rumors makers,health rumors,health rumors spreaders and communication effects.The dissertation includes six parts.The first part is the introduction,which expounding the background of the research,the significance of the research and the methods of the research.This dissertation gives a detailed literature review by the study of literature method.The second part discusses the health rumors in the new media era and clarifies the basic concepts of rumors,new media and health rumors.This dissertation puts health rumors under the two theoretical dimensions of transitional society and risk society,we can clear the phenomenon of spreading of health rumors in the new media era.At the same time,this dissertation summarizes the characteristics of health rumors in the new media era.In the third part,This dissertation uses the theory of communication,psychology and sociology to discuss the motivation mechanism of the transmission of health rumors in the new media era.From the different subjects that rumors spreading,this dissertation starts from the rumors makers and the health rumors spreaders,demonstrating the dynamic effects of different subjects on the generating and spreading of health rumors.In the fourth part,this dissertation innovatively uses qualitative comparative analysis method to study the spreading of health rumors in the era of new media.The author takes 26 health rumors,which are widely circulated and have a huge impact on people's social life.This dissertation uses qualitative comparative analysis to explore the relationship between the textual characteristics of health rumors and the effect of communication in the new media era.In the fifth part,the author sorts out the actual governance of health rumors up to now,and expounds what the government,news media,platform enterprises and science Internet companies have been done in order to govern rumors.This dissertation put forward feasible suggestions for improving the health rumors governance system in the new media era according to the problems still existing in this period.
