The Research On The Contribution Rate Of The University Library To The Discipline Construction

The main function of university library includes serving teaching and research,spreading knowledge and culture,and forming the three pillars of the development of the university with the teachers' team and the laboratory.The university library plays an important irreplaceable action.In January 2017,policies that have been released by the sate council pointed out that colleges and universities should develop the basis of the subject,the lever of performance,construct the first-class teaching staff,and speed up the level of scientific research,inherit excellent cultural innovation,and cultivate innovative talents and promote the achievements.Today,the library is undergoing profound changes by high-speed development of information network.However,only few colleges pay enough attention to the development of libraries,which seriously affects the improvement of construction level of Chinese universities.Therefore,this paper which study the contribution of university library and the construction of discipline has great practical significance and theoretical significance.This paper makes the following research based on reviewing the related literature and theories.Firstly,we analyze the factors and feedback mechanism,then establish the conceptual model and performance evaluation index system in order to reflect the relationship between the construction of university library and discipline building.Secondly,according to the development status,the contribution rate of the development discipline construction of university libraries in China is calculated using the statistics of 1994-2016.Above all we made two improvements based on the limitations of the existing CRITIC weighting method.First,the difference coefficient is used instead of the standard deviation.Second,the complex correlation coefficient is used to express the correlation in the case of “one-to-many”.Then we deal with index values by dimensionless and standardization,and calculate out four index which is the the foundation for further research.Thirdly,we select the relatively mature production function to measure the contribution rate of the university library to the discipline construction.We need to test thestationary of data,though test the smoothness of the data,the results show that the selected data are first order stationary sequence.So we do Johansen cointegration test,and the results show that there exist two cointegration relationship among four indications.Then we calculate and measure the contribution rate by the expansion of the C-D production function.At the same time,this paper makes test of goodness of fit,the significance test and regression residual test.The results show that this model is scientific and reasonable.Then,we calculate the annual average growth rate and contribution rate.The results show that laboratory contribution is largest,and faculty building to the discipline construction is lowest.Finally,we put forward three constructive opinions and suggestions.
