The Maritime Silk Road is the oldest maritime route in China,which carries trade between China and other countries along the way,has also blended the cultures of China and other countries.When President Xi Jinping visited ASEAN members in October 2013,he proposed the strategic concept of 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road,which gave the ancient Maritime Silk Road a new era mission.The Maritime Silk Road,which has both cultural and political attributes,has the necessity of spreading in the contemporary era.Since image technology is mature,visual communication is one of the important ways of China's internal and external communication because of their intuition and vividness.After The Belt and Road proposed,the video works on the Maritime Silk Road are gradually increasing.This article takes the Maritime Silk Road as the independent research subject.From the perspective of the visual communication,this paper integrates the existing research texts,grasps the spread of the Maritime Silk Road overall,discuss the strategy of visual communication in depth.And then,Promote the cultural transmission of the old Maritime Silk Road and the spread of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road's national strategy.This paper uses methods of literature research,content analysis,case analysis and data collection to study the visual communication of the Maritime Silk Road.The full text includes four parts.The first part is to define the research object of the Maritime Silk Road's video works,and briefly summarize the existing videos,and analyze the communication environment of these videos.In the second part,Combined with literature and video text,the current strategies of the communication of the Maritime Silk Road are analyzed in four aspects,including the types,channels,contents and audiences.The third part,on the basis of the current strategy analysis,summarizing its effectiveness and problems.The fourth part,combined with the above analysis,strategic suggestions are provided for the future image dissemination of the Maritime Silk Road.
