The rapid development of network information technology has changed the speed,flexibility and cost of content production.Relying on Internet technology,new media have always played an important role in the media industry from the start.As a talent-intensive industry,human resources are the core competitive elements of new media.What new media need is compound talents knowing information technology as well as journalism.This is also what other companies compete for.However,under the market economy,backward management in new media clearly cannot make it an advantage in the fierce competition for talents.As an emerging industry,the structure of new media personnel is still not perfect.Human resources management still stays at the level of traditional personnel management without a macro strategic plan for talents.The mobility of personnel is extremely high which will inevitably affect the new media industry and furthermore have an impact on the progress of China's news dissemination business and the improvement of China's soft power.Therefore,it is extremely important to study the problems existing in the management of new media human resources and explore a management road that suits its development.This paper starts from the six modules of media human resource management,and sorts out relevant documents to show the development rules of human resources management in planning,recruiting,configuration,motivation,assessment and employee relations of new media,and then takes the old video website PPTV as an example.Through in-depth interviews with four employees and the author's observation in nine months,this paper concludes that the main problems in PPTV human resource management lay in the two modules of recruitment&configuration and performance assessment with corresponding solutions followed.This will promote the reform and development of new media human resource management and promote the progress of China's news industry.
