The Study On Using Behavior Of Wechat Among Senior Citizens

With the rapid development of information society,the power of new media in information transmission is more obvious.As a special social vulnerable group,the elderly will lose WeChat,which is a convenient channel for voicing their opinions in the rapid development of digital society.They have more weakness compared with the young generation,who is expert in information receiving ability.Cause the society developing unbalanced and widen the digital gap between generations.It is also contrary to the the concept of social equity and justice,which has been advocated in modern society.Taking changchun senior citizens as the object of study,therefore,the research did much work combined with ERG theory of psychology and Uses and Gratifications theory of communication.The paper discuss the topic,the using situation about WeChat among senior citizens,using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis as analysis method to understand their needs,the influencing factors in using WeChat as well as meeting their demand.Prompting the social from all walks of life pay attention to senior citizens' strong desire in the use of WeChat to achieve "social interaction",so we can improve the information service system well and expand the utilization rate of the popularity of WeChat.In this way,digital fruit will benefit everyone equally.Specifically,this paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes research background,research purpose,research significance,research methods,literature review,theory summary,as well as the analysis of emphasis,difficulties and innovation point.The second part is research design and research method.It includes the elaboration of research object and research question,the specific design and implementation of each link of questionnaire and interview survey,and records the process of issuing and collectig the questionnaire.The third part is the investigation of senior citizens' motivation in using WeChat.Based on ERG theory,the paper study initial using motivation and sustainable using motivation of the urban elderly,together with the reason of shifting their motive.It also make a summary on their behavioral characteristics of using WeChat.This is the key chapter of this paper.The fourth part is the survey of the attitude of the elderly people in the city,who uses WeChat.From the angle of demography,level and depth of participation and thefunction of the WeChat itself,the paper sums up some factors that influence their using attitude,and did roughly describe for WeChat development prospect.This is also the key chapter of this thesis.The fifth part is the conclusion of this study,and proposes corresponding strategies to improve the penetration rate of WeChat in urban elderly population.The results of the above analysis are summarized in this chapter to obtain the final result of this study.And in this way,the relevant measures based on the results are more scientific and reasonable.
