When WeChat has established an absolute position in the field of instant messaging and social networking,WeChat public number has become very influential in the mobile terminal users of a large application,the academic world has never stopped their studies.But in previous studies,the proportion of elderly people is very low,and even can be said for the elderly users to adopt the use of WeChat's public number and its demand is almost zero.The grim reality of the aging society is in sight,the demand for new media information in the elderly should cause more attention and attention.Therefore,when WeChat and WeChat public number of the study focused on the elderly,the original media theory of the explanatory power and validity,it is worth exploring.In the face of theory,this paper has both the relevant theory and the further explanation of the role,while the industry news class WeChat public number in the future in the content settings,operation,or will have a practical guiding significance.This paper applies uses and gratifications theory,technology acceptance model,balance demand theory,through depth interviews and questionnaires,which focus on the needs of the elderly on the news of WeChat public number.How do they use the news class WeChat public number? What are the positive effects of the news that they take on the WeChat public number? Through qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews,and the quantitative study of the results of the questionnaire,the use of SPSS data analysis software,and finally come to the conclusion: The greatest demand for the old people to the news of the WeChat public number is information acquisition and cognitive needs.Elderly people on the news of the use of WeChat public numbers,and gender,education,income,occupation,there are different degrees of correlation.Perceived ease of use,perceived usefulness,perceived popularity,weighed in demand will positively affect the old people on the news of WeChat public number adopted.
