With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,there exists increasingly demanding on the performance of microwave devices.In modern wireless communication circumstance,the working frequency is improved,the capacity of channel is wider,therefore the working frequency of microwave devices is higher,the width is wider,meanwhile the size of the microwave device is smaller and the structure is more complex,the processing requirement of the device becomes higher.Gap waveguide is a new type of guided wave structure,compared with traditional rectangular waveguides,the width of gap waveguide is wider and the processing requirement is lower in order to reach the same performance,which leads the gap waveguide to better application prospect.Meanwhile,in many antenna structures,slot antennas have the characteristics of low processing difficulty,small size,light weight and easy designing procedure,these characteristics make the slot antenna to adapt to more complex communication requirement.This paper mainly focuses on gap waveguide and gap waveguide slot antenna.Its main work and research results are as follows: 1? The bandwidth characteristics of the high impedance surface of the gap waveguide are introduced.The high impedance surface of a typical gap waveguide is realized by a metal pin with periodic arrangement.The influence of the size,width and height of the metal pin on the impedance bandwidth is analyzed.In addition,for the groove gap waveguide structure,the influence of the groove band size and the air gap height on the working bandwidth of the gap waveguide is analyzed.Finally,this paper conclude the designing procedure and the designing procedure of designing the groove gap waveguide with wide width.2?An optimal design method for slot antenna with low sidelobe is proposed.A high frequency electromagnetic simulation software CST is used to analyze the dispersion characteristics of one dimensional slot gap waveguide.By extracting the phase constant at the central frequency point,the slot gap waveguide is equivalent to a rectangular waveguide.Then based on the Taylor synthesis method,a low sidelobe slot waveguide stationed wave antenna working at the Ku frequency band is designed,and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation.It has some reference value for the design of low sidelobe gap waveguide antenna.3? The characteristics of the gap waveguide tolerance in the high frequency section are analyzed.In order to verify the tolerance of the device designed for the gap waveguide and the feasibility and advantage of working in the extreme environment,the influence of the dimension error of the gap waveguide transmission line on the gap waveguide antenna is analyzed and compared with the tolerance capacity of the rectangular waveguide,which shows that the gap waveguide has a good capacity for the waveguide size,which shows that gap waveguide device has lower requirements for machining precision.4? The application prospect of gap waveguide slot antenna in Space-borne antenna is analyzed.This paper analyzes the thermal deformation of the Space-borne antenna and the corresponding solving measures,while build a model to analyze the influence of thermal deformation on gap waveguide,the result indicates that the gap waveguide can resist thermal deformation and it can be involved to Space-borne devices which have high thermal deformation requirement.
