Analysis And Simulation Of Waveguide Slot Antenna

In this paper, a survey of the development and research status of waveguide slot antenna are introduced. The basic pricinples of the slot radiation of waveguide are discussed. The variational equations of the slot impedance are derived. The equivalent admittance formulations of the slot are analized and the field distribution of wide slot is researched. The application of the method of moments in waveguide slot antenna is introduced. A breif introduction of the electromagnetic simulation software HFSS is given and the basic operations of HFSS are introduced. The advantages of modern design simulation software on design of slot antenna are discussed.The radiation characters of a single slot on waveguide are analized with HFSS. The design procedures of slot antenna are detailed discussed. The single waveguide slot antenna and multiple waveguide slot antenna are designed and simulated with HFSS respectively. And the simulation results are reseached and discussed in depth.The designed antenna is manufactured and tested. The test procedures are introduced. The test results and simulation results are compared and analyzed. The reasons of the differences between test data and simulation data are reseached and analyzed.
