To Revise The Jing Part Of Xuxiu Siku Quanshu Zongmu Tiyao

Xuxiu sisu quanshu zongmu tiyao(hereinafter referred to as "Xu tiyao")is a large-scale Chinese ancient literature problem solving bibliography edited during the Republic of China.The money for this project was mainly from the Boxer Indemnity returned by Japan.In 1927,Beijing Institute of Humanities Research was established and this project started in the same year,lasting up to 18 years.Xu Tiyao is another large-scale problem-solving bibliography after Sikuquanshu Zongmu of the Qianlong era.It is also the largest existing problem-solving bibliography.A large number of well-known scholars during the Republic of China have participated in the project.Ke Shaomin,Lun Ming,Wu Cheng Shi,Shang Binghe and Huang Shouyi has worked for the Jing part,and Feng Rujie took part in the epigraphy part.Yang Shuda was a member of the history part.Sun Kaidi and Fu Xihua has worked for the Zi part,and Xie Guozhen was in series part.Wang Chongming has also participated in this project,working for the Dunhuang docunments.They were all outstanding in their fields of that time.In the manuscript of Xuxiu Siku Zongmu Tiyao collated by National Science Library and published by Qilu Press in 1960,there are almost 34,000 kinds of abstracts,which is really unprecedented.It includes lots of great works such as the Yi's abstracts in Jing part written by Shang Binghe and Huang Shouqi,which were later collated as Yishuo Pingyi and Yixue Qunshu Pingyi.The abstracts written by Yu Shaosong of the art part afterwards became the book Shuhua Shulu Jieti.Ke Shaomin,Ke Changsi,Ke Changji,Tan Qiyi,Wang Chongmin,Zhao Wanli,and Fu Xihua have also written excellent abstracts.Although the abstracts are great,the lack of an able leader such as Liu Xiang and Ji Yun made it impossible to do the efficient text-removing work,so the final results were not satisfying.70 authors had to finish more than 30,000 abstracts so they couldn't read the book carefully,which made some abstracts inaccurate.In addition,the authors were well-paid and some of them wanted to get more money,so there existed many plagiarisms.Therefore,it is necessary to make a review of Xu Tiyao so that we can make better use of the bibliography.This paper is to examine its problems.This paper talks about the problems on the writer introductions,book names,volumes and editions in the Jing part of Xu Tiyao.There exists inconsistent texts and some investigation are not accurate and complete.What's more,Xu Tiyao has used many materials from the local chronicles and historical biographies but haven't indicated the original source's.The whole bibliography was ranked by the second-level and four-part categorization.
