Wang Zhongmin is a famous scholar who is good at Document?Bibliography?Dunhuang studies and Librarianship.At the same time,he makes a great contribution to Historical Philology and Chorography,especially to summaries fields.Refer to his study on “Lao Zi”,Wang Zhongmin writes around 7000 summaries and gains a great success and high reputation in the overseas so that nobody can catch up with him.This paper aims to make a thorough inquires into hundreds of summaries in “Xuxiu Siku quanshu zongmu tiyao”.“Xuxiu Siku quanshu zongmu tiyao” is the most important existing Bibliography summaries.Along with the publishment,Wang Zhongmin's 101 summaries also are well known by others.These summaries reflect his academic ideas in all directions and contain his achievements in Collation?Bibliography?Dunhuang studies and Chorography.The paper takes advantage of present achievements,on the basis of “Xuxiu Siku quanshu zongmu” which is published by Qilu shushe in 1996.By using Philological methods to figure out the problem.The paper is divided into two books.The first book mainly talks about purpose,significance,methods as well as the existing results.The first chapter briefly describes the compilation background and the process;the second chapter introduces his life and academic achievements;the third chapter sums up features?methods?advantages and disadvantages on the basis of carefully research;the forth chapter discusses Wang Zhongmin's academic thoughts and reveals his excellent achievements.The next book majorly arranges theinformation point by point with new punctuations and revises some omissions.Finally,the related indexes in the appendix for further reference.
