Research On The Strategies Of Archives' Participation In We-Media Information Archiving From The Perspective Of Social Memory

Researches on social memory and archival memory are increasingly drawing attention of archival theory researchers and archival work practitioners.The Memory of the World Programme has stimulated the domestic archival community's interest in the participation in social memory building.To build social memory recognized by different social classes,the most important thing is to choose the source of information that reflects all aspects of society.With the development of information technology and communication means,the we-media has grown rapidly,and has increasingly become an information platform for the public to record life and express themselves.The resulting we-media information has become an important source for recording and reflecting information from different social strata.In this context,this type of information resources is viewed from the perspective of social memory,and the attributes,archive values,and necessity of we-media information are analyzed.The author believes that in the perspective of social memory archives archival preservation of we-media information is complementary to the existing social memory content system,and is also a part of the work to build the social memory covering the people.However,the current status quo is that few archives are concerned about archiving of such information.Therefore,on the basis of comparative analysis of the practice and research on the information archiving of relevant institutions at home and abroad.We try to put forward some models and tactics that are suitable for archives to participate in we-media information archiving.The content of the paper consists of five parts:The first part introduces the significance of archiving we-media information under the background of social memory research.This part also sums up relevant research at home and abroad,and introduces the ideas and methods of the paper.The second part analyzes the object and subject.The author compares and defines the concept of we-media and related concepts,and analyzes its basic attributes and content attributes.There are many types of we-media information,including file attributes and memory attributes,and therefore archival values.Some other attributes of the media information also make archiving archives face many difficulties.From the perspective of social memory,the archives participate in we-media information archiving,analyze the content of the responsibilities of the archives and their abilities,and discuss the current difficulties faced by archives in archiving the information from we-media.The third part mainly selects some classic cases of domestic and foreign relevant departments to archive web information or social media information.Then this part summarizes and analyzes the enlightenment that archives participate in we-media information archiving.In this part the paper also reveals the current status of domestic web information archiving.The fourth part puts forward the strategies that archives participate in we-media information archiving.First of all,archives could choose different archiving modes.Secondly.archives can follow different archiving paths.Finally,archives can use different methods to archive different types of we-media information in various forms.This paper provide some ideas for archiving we-media information.The last part of the paper summarizes the main content of this research,as well as some existing deficiencies,and puts forward the outlook for future research.We hope that the theoretical and practical fields can achieve more progress in the we-media information archiving.
